Megan started at Trinity on July 1st 2013. She was ordained at the Cathedral the day before. In addition to taking part in the pastoral and liturgical ministries at the Cathedral, she ministers to young adults with programs in the community, serves on the youth ministry team, and works with teams to host a variety of creative worship encounters inside the church and out in the community.
She is a native of Northern California having grown up in Fairfield. After earning her BA in Religious Studies from UC Davis, she accepted a position with the Episcopal Service Corps in Boston. While there, Megan worked for an education non-profit and trained in community organizing. After a year of service, she moved to Connecticut to attend seminary at Berkeley Divinity School at Yale University. During her Masters of Divinity studies, she ministered to parish and campus ministry communities in New Haven and served on a number of wider Episcopal Church bodies including the Episcopal Evangelism Network and the Standing Commission on Mission and Evangelism. Megan is deeply passionate about faith community formation in the church, and creatively engaging the riches of Episcopal faith in new contexts and communities outside of church walls.
Megan has an older brother who works as a Public Defender in New Orleans, and a younger sister who works at Amazon in Seattle. In her free time, Megan most enjoys hosting conversations, traveling, baking, and taking a ton of dance classes.
