About Trinity

At Trinity Cathedral you can:

Deepen your joy and your experience of God’s love: By participating in a worshipping, meditating, singing, serving community that believes that God’s heavenly kingdom has already begun.

Search for answers to your deep spiritual questions: No question is out of bounds. As a Christian congregation we are grounded in the teachings of Jesus, but the views of other traditions are respected. We offer a striking variety of classes.

Strive for justice for all: All people are beloved children of God and all people deserve dignity and equal rights. At Trinity you can join with others who work for such equality. For example, the congregation has been very involved in the full inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people.

Serve the needs of the poor: Whether it is providing food for needy children at Jed Smith School or housing the homeless through Family Promise, or participating in many other programs, you can help somebody in a meaningful and life-changing way.

Belong: God’s love is freely given to all. Everybody is welcome. Everybody.

Helpful Resources

Sunday School is year-round and begins at 10:15am. Classes are available for children preschool (age 3) through senior high (twelfth grade). Register at the Welcome Center or in the classrooms.
Children's Chapel is conducted during the 9am and 11:15am services for all children. After the gospel lesson, children (and parents who care to join them) follow the verger down the aisle and are escorted to Children's Chapel in the Cathedral House next to the Cathedral. They return during the Peace.
Nursery Care is available on Sundays from 8:45am to 12:30pm for babies to age three years. The nursery is adjacent to the west door of the Cathedral. Older children are encouraged to attend church with their parents. We suggest that families with children sit near the front of the Cathedral. This will help children to feel they are part of the worship.
• Welcome Center and Coffee Hour - Following the 7:30, 9:00 and 11:15am services coffee and refreshments are served in the Great Hall. Near the Coffee hour, you will find the Welcome Center, staffed by volunteers who can answer questions and assist you with any needs.
• Newcomers' Classes - are scheduled several times during the year, and each series lasts for 7 weeks. They take place on Sunday following the 9:00am service, at approximately 10:15am and conclude before the 11:15am service starts. Even if you are familiar with the Episcopal Church, the Newcomers' classes are a great place to become better connected with Trinity activities. You may join in during the next sequence. Contact Canon Kelly kelly@trinitycathedral.org for information about the current Newcomers' Class schedule.
