Our Nursery is open every Sunday for both the 9:00 and 11:15 services welcoming children birth to 4.  The nursery is located just off the back parking lot, near the west entrance to the church.  We have a wonderful nursery staff! Parents are also welcome to use the nursery’s changing table, high chair, and restroom at any time.

Sunday Worship

Children of all ages are welcome at all services at the Cathedral!  Families are encouraged to sit toward the front so that children can see and hear all that goes on.  We also have a special space in the west wing of the church with a rocking chair, quiet toys, and carpeting for little ones who are more comfortable playing on the floor.

Children’s Chapel
During the 9:00am and 11:15am services, there is a special service for children. Immediately before the sermon, children leave the Cathedral, escorted by the chapel ministers. They return for communion.

First Sunday Family Service
On the first Sunday of the month at 9:00am there is a special service designed for families with young children.

Sunday School

Sunday School is offered for all children and youth ages 3 through 12th grade from 10:15 to 11:15 during the school year on the second, third, fourth, and fifth Sundays of the month.  (On the first Sunday of the month we hold our First Sunday Family Service.  The service is followed by a simple brunch and arts and crafts which takes the place of Sunday School on that day.)

Our Preschool program, Heart Shaper, is designed to engage young children in Bible stories through multisensory activities, songs, and games.  Preschool meets upstairs in Room F.

Godly Play

For kindergarten through second graders, Godly Play is a Montessori approach to faith formation, which helps children explore their faith through wonder and play.  Art is an important component of each Godly Play experience.  Godly Play meets upstairs in Room J off of the Assembly Area.

Our third through fifth graders use a variety of resources including the Episcopal Children’s Curriculum, Legos, and Godly Play at the intermediate levels, to explore our sacraments, Sunday service, and the Bible.  Explorers meet in Room I upstairs off of the Assembly Area.
