Prayer at Trinity Cathedral

Prayer comes in many forms and there are a variety of ways to experience prayer at Trinity Cathedral. In addition to our Saturday Evening and Sunday worship services, you can attend weekday services of Holy Communion specifically for healing (Mon. 5:45pm, Wed. 9am, Fri. 9am).  There are classes every other month on a Wednesday called “Prayer Night.”  There we experiment learning different forms of prayer (see parish eNewsletter/Cathedral Cross for dates and times).  We host retreats that focus on prayer.

If you have particular needs for which you would like prayer, there are always others ready to pray with and for you. The Sunday Transept Prayer Ministry, 911 Telephone Prayer Chain and the Order of St. Luke all engage in healing prayer. You may find this “Guidance for Healing Prayer” helpful. You can join us Tuesdays at 6pm in Centering Prayer, a form of Christian meditation.  You can also call the Church Office (916-446-2513) to request that your name or one you are concerned about is added to the parish Prayer List.

For more detailed information, click on the “prayer” links listed to the right.  You will find information about the specific ministries of prayer at the Cathedral, a schedule of meetings (where appropriate) and contact information if more help is needed.
